Monaco have still been good though. They got gutted in the summer and are still doing OK in the League. Its just that PSG are so much better it makes them all look crap.

I will concede that the bottom half of the table there is full of ****e though

      .
He replaced McLeish who succeeded O'Neill after leading Villa to three consecutive top six finishes including a record Premiership points total and a cup final but let's not get the facts in the way when you have an axe to grind.

They finished last in their CL group with 2 points. The fact they’re doing ok in Ligue 1 says more about the French league than it does anything about their quality this season.

MO pulled a Jose, building an overpaid team of old codgers. They then lost Barry, Milner, Young etc without replacing them. Gabby lost his pace, which was all he had. The guy got leukaemia, Carew retired.

O'Neil's legacy was Steven Ireland, Hutton and 64 yr old Given all on about £100k a week etc. Bacuna was their 'bit of class'. They had a squad that could barely complete a throw-in when he took over.

Learner got divorced and lost half his money, the half he was planning on putting into the club. Lambert inherited **** and had no money. After Benteke went (Who he'd managed to make look like a peak Drogba). And that LW from Barca did his knee in they were left with no players at all.

                    He'll do ok at Stoke.

**** me....do you do research or does that sort of stuff just stick in your head?
Oh triffic......so while you're up the road jollying it up, it's touch your toes time for Rodney

Best mate is a villa fan so I keep up with them by proxy.

It might need a bit of fact checking in sequencing

I'm no expert in Aston Villa but did a quick check to verify your statements, according to Wikipedia none of the players you attributed to O'Neill were actually signed or played under O'Neill. Below is the last squad he managed in which they finished 6th (above Liverpool) whilst getting to the SF in the FA Cup and runners up in the League Cup but again why let facts get in the way.

1 United States GK Brad Friedel
                          2 England DF Luke Young
                          3 Netherlands DF Wilfred Bouma
                          4 England MF Steve Sidwell
5 Republic of Ireland DF Richard Dunne
                          6 England MF Stewart Downing
                          7 England MF Ashley Young
                          8 England MF James Milner
                          10 Norway FW John Carew
                          11 England FW Gabriel Agbonlahor
                          12 England MF Marc Albrighton
                          14 England FW Nathan Delfouneso
                          15 England DF Curtis Davies
                          16 England MF Fabian Delph
                          18 England FW Emile Heskey
19 Bulgaria MF Stiliyan Petrov (captain)
                          20 England MF Nigel Reo-Coker
                          21 England DF Nicky Shorey
22 United States GK Brad Guzan

                          26 England MF Craig Gardner
                          29 Wales DF James Collins
                          33 England GK Andy Marshall
                          45 Australia MF Shane Lowry

Fair enough. So Mcleish rather than O'Neil.

                            I was talking about Lambert.
