I've just seen that Ryan Gauld, the Dundee United youngster who is really highly rated and who we've been linked with (albeit tentatively) in the past, has signed for Sporting Lisbon.

Sporting Lisbon, like the other big teams in Portugal, seem to have quite a good record of bringing through youth players. This could be quite a clever move for him.

If the circus that follows Villa is anything like the circus that follows the Republic just because of his presence it won't be long before Lambert will be questioning his wisdom. Almost every bloody press conference with Martin O'Neill is 90 % about Roy Keane.
