in reality, the best fit is a fine line though. In reality, the guy could get a career ending injury on his first training session. So for me, i dont have a problem per-se with him getting the most money and the best contract possible. He will also go somewhere he thinks that he can win trophies and have a good career.

Just a yellow for this challengeThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Ok, Newcastle's first goal...defending player commits a yellow card offence, but the ref waves play on as Newcastle are in on goal, and they duly score. Ref then goes back and books the player, it's a second yellow so he's off.
But, what happens if the Keeper saves it and before the next break in play, the player who committed the second bookable offence scores? Is that acceptable? I thought play was supposed to stop for a red card?
Edit:
See Law 12, part 3 of the IFAB Law Of The Game.
Advantage should not be applied in situations involving serious foul play, violent conduct or a second cautionable offence unless there is a clear opportunity to score a goal. The referee must send off the player when the ball is next out of play, but if the player plays the ball or challenges/interferes with an opponent, the referee will stop play, send off the player and restart with an indirect free kick, unless the player committed a more serious offence.
So, my take on this is that the ref plays on until a break in play or the player involved next interferes in play (ie, in the act of heading in a cross maybe?)??Last edited by Scratch; 17-04-21, 01:34 PM.
