Blocking the Super League when it was blocked just paved the way for the totally unopposed launch of the new Club World Cup 32 team summer competition which the Saudis now have a big say in. Imo.


No surpise that the announcement of the new format and the prior FIFA meetings to decide the qualifying criteria all took place in Jeddah.


We will see how long they stick to their two club cap per league if some of the Oil clubs start to fail to qualify, along with how long it takes them to reduce the qualifying cycle.
