Lewandowski is sensational, his 4 goals vs Madrid were equally clinical. When he is on form I would argue that he is as good as Suarez, although different players. Lewandowski is probably more clinical, but not as inventive. The two of them are the two best strikers in the world in my point of view.

Aston Villa team was leaked, says Birmingham boss Gary Rowett

Aston Villa's team was leaked the day before their League Cup third-round victory over Birmingham City, Blues boss Gary Rowett has claimed.

"I actually knew their team [on Monday] funnily enough," said Rowett, who saw his side beaten 1-0 by Rudy Gestede's second goal of the season.

"That often happens - you often get a little tip-off. Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're not."

Villa manager Tim Sherwood said he was unfazed by Rowett's "strange" claim.

When asked if the leak was worrying, Sherwood replied: "Of course it's not. Did he tell you who it was? It's interesting why he even mentioned it. It's strange."

Gestede's goal with just over an hour gone clinched victory for the Premier League side, after second-tier Birmingham had dominated the first 45 minutes - leading to boos from sections of the home crowd at the break.

"I felt, in the first half, tactically we got the game spot on, got some runners into some great positions," said Rowett.

"I have heard Tim said he purposely let us do that in the first half so they could change tactics in the second half, but I'm not sure a tactic of getting booed at half-time would particularly be a good one."

Saturday's 1-0 derby defeat to West Brom had increased the pressure on this match but Sherwood insisted his side knew what they were doing in what appeared a lacklustre opening half.

"I think we deserved to win by a lot more," he said. "We showed a lot of bottle, even after a first half like that - even though it's how I wanted them to play.

"They took a lot of criticism out there but in the second half they were brave enough to get the ball."

Timmy - booed off in the first half so he can look like a tactical genius in the second

It has been confirmed that Jack Grealish has shunned Ireland and has decided to pledge his international future with England.

Grealish, who has represented Ireland at a number of underage levels, may be named in Roy Hodgson's squad for next months Euro 2016 qualifiers against Estonia and Lithuania on Thursday.

          I never rated him anyway.
That rug really tied the room together.

Doesn't stand a hope in hell of ever being a regular with England. Ireland would have been the better shout for his chances to play ... but we're ****e so you can see why he rejected us.

In saying that, I can't see England wining anything any time soon. The best Grealish can hope for is to somehow get picked as part of the squad in the major competitions... which England usually qualifier for.

Wolverhampton Wanderers FC announces today that after eight eventful and enjoyable years at the Club, and after much thought, owner and Chairman Steve Morgan has decided to put his 100% shareholding in the Club up for sale.
Steve will step down from the Board with immediate effect and day-to-day activities will continue to be managed by the Chief Executive with the current Board overseeing operations.
While the process of finding a new owner is being undertaken it is very much business as usual for the Head Coach, players, staff and all other stakeholders involved with Wolves.
Steve would like to relay to all concerned that his ongoing commitment and financial support to Wolves will continue until a new owner can be found.
He would like to thank everyone connected with the Club for their support and backing over his tenure to date and, as always, wishes Wolves every success for the future.
Steve will not be making any public comments in relation to this announcement.

**** news. I really wanted us to bring him into the club in some capacity to try and shape things.

I hope he gets better asap.

Apparently there is a scandal brewing in Spain regarding the El Classico. A linesman has submitted a complaint after he was told to favor Madrid in the game.
