During Paris Saint-Germain's victory over Nantes on Saturday, the home of Thiago Silva was broken into by opportunistic thieves in the French capital.

Despite all of the PSG players having a security system in their house, which is provided by the club, this was still able to occur.

It was reported by L'Equipe that the thieves entered through the roof of the house, which is located in a high-security residential complex in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, where many celebrities live.

The criminals made off with goods valued at almost one million euros, among which were several jewels of high value and a luxury watch worth 600,000 euros.

At the end of last month, Silva's teammate Eric Choupo-Moting suffered a similar robbery at his home in Paris.

I think it's meant to be read that 600,000Eu is the sum of the jewellery and watch.

Maybe he came from poverty? He may well give 50% of his income to good causes?

Also re: the watch thing, I think if it really was worth 600,000 Euros, then it might have been an investment rather than a fashion statement.
