the current knock out format is the best way, its the group stage which is a bit ****.
talk of the 1 legged latter stages and having it all in one place as well like the covid CL in Portugal.
If it ain't broke..
If I had to make changes, I'd have the European Cup straight knock out tournament, sack off the groups and international nations league post season and have a second 'Champions' tournament. Essentially the current Pot 1 eight teams so CL, Europa winner, best 6 leagues winners in a mini tournament somewhere over 8-9 daysComment

There should be some sort of rule that if you don't have a shot on target in 90mins you forfeit the cup.
If neither team have a shot on target then they both forfeit the cup and are banned from next years tournament.Comment
