i would be pretty pleased

there isn't a 'marquee' type signing - it'd be great to get a Martinez or a Sanchez or a Pedro

but i don't think we have the money for one of those sort of players...or sorry, maybe we could but we couldn't compete - say we offered Barca £25m for Pedro and Pedro £100k a week - i'd reckon we would see chelsea/city/psg etc all coming for him with £30m and £200k a week bids.

those players in the list are all good players, all would improve and strengthen our squad. We'd be a better team imo and be more capable of competing with the added european games - plus they'd be achievable signings, without breaking the bank.

the way i see it - if we look at the current squad - we need a first choice left back and an extra centre mid - minimum

So add Moreno and Can. We are better off

By your estimation though, that suggests no improvement to the starting XI beyond Moreno. Which isn't the be all and end all but I think I'd struggle to be pleased if we concluded business without more of that type of addition being made. Regardless of how much I might be pleased with any of those signings individually.

I'd be happy with that as midfield and attack with options like that on the bench. Those areas only need a little tweak first team wise, our problem last year was the drop down in quality when someone was out, lose Suarez, Sturridge or Sterling and you were bringingin Aspas or Moses, strengthen those areas and we can have good options when we need to change things.

The big issue is defence, I am not really sure how bad our defence is, certain players have their limitations and could be improved upon the problem for me is our system doesn't help defenders look good regardless of how good they are, we need players who suit tje system but I have no idea where youfind them
