It's not the end of the world, BUT, it's pretty damn disappointing what we continually miss out on the major targets. It would be better not even try than constantly try and fail. And some review should be in order, maybe Ayre is poor at this or maybe he just has his plate full with the commercial side.

Surely we would have called it quits if there was no chance to complete the deal - but maybe no one has a clue?

In any case, it's not going to hamper our chances of finishing 4th this season. We've still got a handful of players to come back from injury and a wee bit of an easier run in, so it's still looking good.
