Ridsdale is a pleb, but he has experience of these things:
I completely dispute the last sentence though. It's people thinking 'if I hang on they'll be more desperate to sell because they need the money so will sell cheaply'. And on the other hand people are saying 'if I hang on, they're desperate for the player so will pay a higher price'. It creates an artificial period so whether you're buying or selling, it changes the price structure. From a supporter's point of view, it's really exciting.Oh I don't know.

i'm not even arsed to be honest - not worth getting excited about any potential transfers cause we don't have city/chelsea money, so were are always going to be scraping the barrell
we do all the leg work - but guarentee if City put a £16m bid in, it'd be sorted and go throughi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Because selling clubs/players want to keep as many options open as possible to maximise their value.Originally posted by rodo View Postthis applies to all clubs like but why the **** do we wait until the last day to get the deal done and then start pissing about over how we wanna pay and then when it falls through start spouting the ****e about value for money etc etcTrey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

We understand neither Liverpool or Tottenham have agreed a deal for Yehven Konoplyanka.
Liverpool have been locked in talks with Dnipro this week to try and strike a deal for the 24-year-old, whilst Tottenham are also still interested in a player they have hunting since last year.
However, Sky Sports understands that a deal is yet to be struck between Dnipro and any other club.
Should Liverpool's deal for Konoplyanka fail to materialise then they could ironically turn to Spurs and try and land Belgian Nacer Chadli on loan - who has shunned a move to Swansea. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Well we arent, the idea that you know the exact reason a multi million pound business deal has supposedly fell apart via a few bits on a computer screen is laughable. One of his agents has said we are doing everything possible to make it happen.Originally posted by marcus50bucks View PostPeople will continue to make excuses by saying things like "we are not privvy to the deal" etc etc, it's a cop out. We really have to look at our strategy going forward. I have no problem having a transfer committee so long as we have people on it who are competent in their jobs. We're a shambles and I couldn't careless if people say my reaction is knee jerk. We had the same ****ty problems last summer ffs.
And what clubs model should we look to emulate as we are supposedly so bad? Name any club, even if money is no object and theres a huge list of missed players like Cavani, Isco, Van Persie, Kaka and many more for City. It happens.

Well the last window suggests we are following a similar pattern when it comes to closing deals.Originally posted by Chris View PostWell we arent, the idea that you know the exact reason a multi million pound business deal has supposedly fell apart via a few bits on a computer screen is laughable.
