Tottenham have made a stunning £20million bid for France World Cup star Antoine Griezmann.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is digging deep again and the 23-year-old Real Sociedad winger has emerged as their next big target.

Griezmann has a £24m buy-out clause in his contract, but says he wants to leave which has put Spurs, Chelsea, Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain on red alert.

But Spurs hope to steal a march on the rest.

Levy is determined to back new boss Mauricio Pochettino with a double deal in the pipeline for Swansea left-back Ben Davies and keeper Michel Vorm as Gylfi Sigurdsson goes the other way.

And Griezmann would be a major coup for Spurs, demonstrating the ambition the club promised to France keeper Hugo Lloris in order to get him to sign a new five-year contract earlier this month.

The French connection with Lloris may also help persuade Griezmann to move to Spurs – although the absence of Champions League football may yet be a major stumbling block.

Isco is a better player in my opinion, but the most obvious move of the summer was this lot smashing a load on whoever done well at the world cup.

Man.... between Real and Barca... whoever is the new flavour of the month they just buy. Typical that just when a team does along to challenge them like Athletico... they lose 3 of their best players! Surprised Koke hasn't gone yet. Terrible shame for them, hopefully they buy well.

Would ****ing love to see Athletico doing them again next season but i think it will be back to the norm of Real & Barca about 30 points ahead of everyone else.
