Klopp was often raging about these **** decisions, allowing play to continue and then the flag goes up, many times we have defenders or goalie putting themselves at extra risk of injuries from impact or pulling a muscle or hammy, etc.

Of course he was. We loved him for it.

Its certainly dangerous. When a player is clearly offside and they allow play, the defenders slow down slightly expecting a call, you see this often, then they scramble when the flag doesnt go up. Extra push on muscles, extra chances of them going for a last ditch desperate tackle. If it looks offside, call it. If you're not sure, let it go. Hell, VVD was taken out for months by pickford during offside play.

VVD was flagged offside. So even if they do flag, it obviously still doesn't remove the miniscule risk of injury.

I’m definitely not blaming the Lino but they are there to do a job, if it’s obvious raise your flag straight away not 30 yds down field.

Problem is if he raises his flag he is going against guidance so isn't doing his job as told, which makes it a grey area...

It’s just an unfortunate incident, as are all injuries in competitive sport. I think once you start down this road it gets very complicated quickly.

Fully agree. Nothing wrong with earning an honest living. A few years late in his case but I wish him well in what will hopefully be a long career.

Knee jerk reaction is to be disgusted but a single file makes me feel more information is needed. Did he film it personally in which case there is zero defence or is it a case along the lines of downloading a series of themed videos in a torrent and one within a set of adults happened to be a minor close in age to being adult and he might not have even realised

From the Guardian: The former Premier League referee David Coote, who lost his job last year after a series of scandals, has been charged with making an indecent image of a child.

According to Nottinghamshire police, the charge is of the most serious Category A offence and relates to a video recovered by officers this February.

The charge of making an indecent image of a child refers to activities such as downloading, sharing or saving abuse photos or videos. Images that are classified Category A customarily show children involved in “penetrative sexual activity”, according to Sentencing Council guidelines.
