Throw the book at him for this and for match fixing and screwing over plenty of careers.

That sounds horrendous. Bloody hellOriginally posted by The_weatherman View PostFrom the Guardian: The former Premier League referee David Coote, who lost his job last year after a series of scandals, has been charged with making an indecent image of a child.
According to Nottinghamshire police, the charge is of the most serious Category A offence and relates to a video recovered by officers this February.
The charge of making an indecent image of a child refers to activities such as downloading, sharing or saving abuse photos or videos. Images that are classified Category A customarily show children involved in “penetrative sexual activity”, according to Sentencing Council guidelines.

It isn't that straightforward though, is it.Originally posted by kingfunk View PostSingle file = pedophile. Absolute Cunt. Let him rot in hell.
Let's say he is searching for adults who are taking part in legally consenting activities and downloads a batched torrent file. Within that set of, let's say 1000 files and 50 videos, one photo or video is of a 17 year old.
That doesn't make him a paedophile no matter how hysterical or hyperbolic reactions are. It perfectly logical to assume if he is a paedophile then there would be multiple files found as he would be habitually seeking it.Football without Origi is nothing

Understand your point, but the Guardian article seems to intimate a more serious offence.Originally posted by ChesterDave View PostIt isn't that straightforward though, is it.

The article I read said he was making images, rather than downloading images (I assume this means taking photos or similar)Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostUnderstand your point, but the Guardian article seems to intimate a more serious offence. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It's a bit confusing because when I first heard the charge of "making an indecent image with a child" my first reaction was of him actually holding the camera and taking the footage.Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostFrom the Guardian: The former Premier League referee David Coote, who lost his job last year after a series of scandals, has been charged with making an indecent image of a child.
