I like that starting 11 Muds, of course there is not a cat in hell's chance of that actually being the 11.

Rooney, Lamps and dare I say it even Wellback will likely get the nod.

At least we'll be sending a better squad out this time compared to 2010:

Full England World Cup squad numbers
          1. David James
          2. Glen Johnson
          3. Ashley Cole
          4. Steven Gerrard
          5. Rio Ferdinand
          6. John Terry
          7. Aaron Lennon
          8. Frank Lampard
          9. Peter Crouch
          10. Wayne Rooney
          11. Joe Cole
          12. Robert Green
          13. Stephen Warnock
          14. Gareth Barry
          15. Matthew Upson
          16. James Milner
          17. Shaun Wright-Phillips
          18. Jamie Carragher
          19. Jermain Defoe
          20. Ledley King
          21. Emile Heskey
          22. Michael Carrick
          23. Joe Hart

Some terrible players in that squad!

I do actually think it will be something similar to this. Maybe Rooney in there ahead of Wilshire with Lallana dropping back a little.

Its nice that for the first time in a long time, we have a side who enjoys getting on the ball and keeping it. Lallana, Wilshire, Henderson, Sterling and Sturridge are all more than comfortable with it. Young side too.

Doesnt matter. He can do all he wants, the players in the side are a better class than the previous years. He surely cant **** up that new group can he?

If he sets us up with a very deep defensive line then yes he could!

I dont think he will. He cant really with this lot. We dont really have any DM players who are of a good standard for England now. Gerrard is the candidate. But he doesnt really do that role for us. Just a deep lying playmaker.

Look at how he had Shaw playing in the last England game - he wasn't even allowed out of his own half. Regardless of ability, he'll be nulifying those attacking instincts and hammering home shape, shape, shape for the next six weeks.

Im living in a dreamland I know. But I think the players he has now have the ability to make most systems work.

Rodgers' football has made you all warm and fuzzy and erased our period under Roy from your mind.

Whilst Roy deserves some credit for picking a relatively young squad, Cole was the easy escaped goat. He'd have left Lampard behind if he was really keen to let our youth experience a World Cup.

The guy is going to nullify any attacking instincts that any of the players currently have and over the next six to eight weeks, he's going to hammer home shape, shape and shape. God help them.

I can never forget that absolute bilge he served up.

But I think I might have been clouded by seeing all the England lads doing pretty decent work for their clubs.

Yeah, you can't help but feel good about Liverpool's presence within the squad as well as the upcoming youngsters he will (has?) named. I just hope some of the players go rogue and go against the grain on occasion. I still remember those 120 minutes against Italy when both teams were defending ... jeeeezzzzz.
