I hope that's a joke. He couldn't get a game last year when we'd rather stick Lallana up front than play Lambert and now we've got 2 new strikers, A third on the way and Sturridge coming back to fitness. In what parallel universe does he think that he's going to get a game now when last year we'd rather play without a striker than pick him.Originally posted by Cormack74 View PostThere was a radio piece the other day which suggested he wants to see out his last year and the club are prepared to let him.
Let's be honest about this, he was only signed out of sentiment and in reality has been awful and looks every inch a lower league journeyman who's painfully slow and looks to have aged about 10 years overnight.
Was never Liverpool quality and needs shipping out as soon asKurtangled in the McFadden thread 16/01/08

Haha it was serious, but like any gossip or opinion at this time of year it may not be accurate. TBH it was a couple of weeks ago and I can't even remember who said it now but I have a vague recollection it was someone believable.

Watching this, he looks like he should have been able to score goals for us. I can only assume that Liverpool FC was too big a move for him and he couldn't handle the pressure.
I like the guy and he's a supporter so all the best mate.

He was never good fit for Liverpool and the chances of success were always small.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostWatching this, he looks like he should have been able to score goals for us. Even today vs Thai All Star he looked so out of depth and out of place.
It'd be the best for everyone if he finds the new club before the end of summer.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

As well as not being able to handle the pressure of playing for a big club, he's been unable to cope with the attention of playing against players that are more motivated than they would otherwise be - we are a big draw and opponents raise their game and are extra motivated against us (as they are against other big teams), which is different to how teams go about their business against the likes of Southampton.

Whether or not he was capable of playing for us we never played to his strengths. Same for Balotelli. I'm more inclined to give Lambert leeway in my judgement of him. Lots of players need some games to play their way into a system and we gave neither the opportunity and all of our preferred setups played against their strengths. With the possible exception of Borini, the way we played suited none of our fit strikers. It is of course possible that Rodgers deemed them all not good enough and focussed on finding other ways to score."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Couldn't agree more. That whole situation baffles me.Originally posted by dww View PostWhether or not he was capable of playing for us we never played to his strengths. Same for Balotelli. I found it odd that Borini wasn't given more opportunities last season, I think he is a somewhat limited player in terms of ability but or the three of them (Borini, Lambert and Balotelli) he seemed to be the most suited to the style of play we wanted, and he was quite hard working. But he seemed to get less games than either of the other two. It is elements like this that make me fear we will end up spending alot of money agains this summer on a striker, who may be a decent player but isn't suited to our system, and at the end of the coming season we find ourselves in the same position we are in now but having blow another £30m or so.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

His rejection of a move away probably cause discernation with management as could have scuppered our chances in getting someone else with his transfer fee along with the funds we used on Balotelli...gotta wonder about that?Originally posted by Exiled_red View Post
