I thought I read somewhere (Beeb gossip?) that Lille denied we'd approached them about bringing him back early.Originally posted by Chazza View Posthttp://www.theguardian.com/football/...et-alan-pardew
Liverpool want to increase their forward options in January, not diminish them by allowing Lambert to leave so quickly, but attempts to advance Divock Origi’s £9.8m transfer from Lille, scheduled for the summer, are being resisted by the French club despite the offer of a premium on the fee.
Edit: In light of my post in the Origi thread I'm hedging my bets on this one!Last edited by Cormack74; 07-01-15, 10:00 PM.

Milner is not unknown to ply his trade up front for City these days #MakeUsDreamOriginally posted by john316 View PostI'm not sure I can take another minute of Lambert up top regardless of the situation. Defoe is dog **** and I'd far rather have him on loan till the end of the season....Substance > Style

Playing devils advocate here and on the back of the recent discussion about Balotelli, why does Lambert escape criticism for his performances as for me he's been far worse from day one? I haven't once watched Lambert this season lumbering around and thought he's put a great shift in today or thought he was ever likely to influence a game. Is it because he's English, it is because he cost £4m, Is it the romance of him coming back to his boyhood club?
Give me Balotelli every day of the week over Lambert.Kurtangled in the McFadden thread 16/01/08
