"After examining and evaluating all evidence and circumstantial evidence as well as hearing various witnesses in the main hearing, the criminal court came to the conclusion that the result of the evidence supports the version of the accused [Blatter and Platini].Originally posted by SB View PostThere must have been a bit left over for the judge
"The facts of the indictment cannot therefore be considered to have been created with a probability bordering on certainty."
So did not meet the criminal court burden of proof.
I just hope neither of them has the brass neck to try to overturn the football bans now!We are here for a good time not a long time....

Was a good watch. Mad that before 1974 FIFA was basically like a credit Union, with volunteers and no profits.Originally posted by Cerbie View PostFIFA Uncovered is on Netflix now. Shows how it all started and who the guilty parties are.

Amazing how Blatter avoided jail. He is an absolute fantasist.
I suppose it is good the yanks took an interest as there was nobody else with the bollocks to take them down.
Jack Warner really loves his kids.

I thought there was more to the selection process than 24 extremely dodgy executives voting on who gets it, without having to provide any evidence or justification for their choice. Naively, I actually thought each countries presentation and the evaluation of the countries actually meant something.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostDont think there was anything i didn't really already know to be honest...... Greenwashing is a thing.
Qatar World Cup: Fifa 'made false statements' about carbon-neutral tournament, says Swiss regulator
"Regulators are slowly waking up to the scale of the issue and the threat it poses by sowing confusion to genuine efforts to tackle climate change. Big polluters are realising they are on borrowed time.
"But to protect people and nature, there's an urgent need for more robust and proactive regulation to stamp out greenwashing and cut the harm done by high-carbon advertising.
"Sport continues to be used as a giant billboard by some of the biggest climate culprits to promote polluting products and lifestyles, threatening the future of athletes, fans and the sport itself.
"It's time that sport, and its governing bodies like Fifa, used their power and position to accelerate the low-carbon transition, instead of delaying it and misleading the public in the process."
Fifa is yet to respond to the criticism.

Carbon credits and all that are proper dodgy. Little/no regulation, not worth the chopped down virgin forest tree they’re written on.
Only way this ends is a major natural disaster which decimates a mega city. Then maybe the major polluters sit up and take notice.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1
