Yes.....but it was too quick to report out if that's the case, which is why you have a massive crowd reaction when it signalled no goal (a relative eternity after the ref had given the goal), then a goal, leading to the disarray we just witnessed here tonight. It done it's job, and it was a goal, but something has gone wrong in communication and it shouldn't happen.

They can still show it just don't show the no goal part cos that was bloody obvious. When they showed that the Honduran players went mental at the ref and presumably missed the part where it did signal the goal cos they weren't looking at the screen anymore they were in the refs face.

Ref gets the signal for no goal (although he should only be getting a signal for goal surely ?)......then gets the signal for goal and he gives it.
Report system sends out the no goal from the vid tech......crowd erupt in delight, and Honduras get onto the ref.
Then the goal signal in the reporting system comes up......crowd want to tear place apart.

There's a severe flaw in the system overall if that's the case.

Hardly a 'severe flaw'. Ref gives goal right away, so we all know it's a goall. Replay confirms it's a goal, albeit the Honduras fans got carried away before it was confirmed. Next time everybody will know not to make dicks out of themselves before the correct replay is shown.

Also value in showing both calls to confirm if it's a direct goal or OG. I bet there wasn't as much confusion in other countries.
