Not a lot of surprises in yesterdays games for me. Colombia still looking very good, and it will be interestign to see how they will do against the second placed from the "group of death". Greece Japan, not much to say there, other than I'm really happy I didn't stay awake for that one Greece is one of the most boring teams around.
England game just again shows how overrated then England team have been in many eyes. I can see England going home with 0 points now tbh. England played a decent enough game, but they are not dangerous enough and playing to slow most of the time. A couple of class players in the team, but that's not enough with that defence and general to slow attacking pace.
I heard that Gerrard is blamed for the two goals, but I think that is really harsh. Okay, he missed a tackle at the first goal, but there were two defenders around Cavani when he is allowed to pass and get's the time just outside the field, and Jagielka just screams poor defending when Suarez isn't covered better IMO. Partially to blame, but it's really a defensive team blunder as I see it.
Second goal I don't understand at all. What was Gerrard supposed to do? Let Cavani get a free header? Has to go in to the challenge. Fault is Cahill that just stands still not watching where Suarez is. Suarez get's all the space he needs because Cahill is at sleep at the goal.
I'd like to know why nobody was running forward to make a pass. It was so static and predictable. Only when Johnson had a go did we create anything. Otherwise it was business as usual. ****e.
prob best place for it - i've been pissing myself reading facebook -
the bitterness from the blue ****e is incredible - going mental at gerrard and suarez
**** it. I wasn't nervous before/during or gutted after the game - the only i'm bothered about is, it's shame England are out because i've enjoyed all my mates getting together and piling in the pub to watch the game
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
I know I'm in a minority here, but I think Gerrard has looked knackered in both games. He's let people by him too easily and hasn't really driven us forward as he can.
I thought he looked knackered at the end of the season and worried he wouldn't manage a World Cup too. It's such a shame to see him like that, I'm gutted that he'll be going out with a whimper.

I'm sure CAD agrees with you.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
Thought Gerrard was ok tonight and pretty blameless for the second. Him and Henderson form a pretty good unit. But Sterling should have played central.
The difference was the difference between Suarez and Rooney. One world-class and one waster. I can't believe people see Rooney's performance as being some kind of vindication. He missed two easy chances (and one against Italy) but scores a tap in and suddenly he's England's savior again.
