Average manager, poor centrebacks and an obsession with a player who isn't world class. Ridiculous.

I also said the foreign players cut learned their skills elsewhere. That's semantics. Oh I see!Originally posted by Venton View PostI'm disagreeing with it all. And belligerently.
I just don't think the problem is Hodgson. Or Capello. Or Eriksson. Or Maclaren. Or Redknapp... and so on. I think our league - which is where all England players play because they are not good enough to go anywhere else - puts an onus on speed over ability, drive over talent and impetus over patience.
That must have been a grim experience for Baines and Barkley. You just don't have a chance to show your talent playing for England.
Oh well, ok that's fair enough. I wouldn't dispute that the English game causes us problems - personally I think all of that is because of the money involved.
It always occurs to me when I watch old Liverpool games from the 80's how much slower the game was then. When England were also ****! (albeit less ****).Really?

Jagielka's fault for the second goal. All he had to do was drop off and stay with Suarez. The flick off a midfielder's head happens all the time but defender is normally there to clear it up. You have be alert especially when you have a top class finisher ready to run in behind you.
Amateur blue****e defending.
