Thanjk you.

Suarez also wildly missed a couple. It's about the chances you get, not the ones you get on target. Luckily for Uruguay we let them have a few chances. Cavani missed the sitter of the night.
Haha, I'm sensing a touch of sarcasm here, but if there is something completely pointless to remember then I'll take it to the grave with me, but tell me something important or ask me somebody's name and I'm ****ed.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

0% sarcasm, 100% compliment. Reading through your posts, how you can relive historic games, previous posts from specific posters, etc ... it's impressive. I couldn't tell you what I had for my tea last night.

Haha, it's sad more like it.
But my 'real life' memory really is shocking, causes so many arguments at home.

Well, yeah. My point was more around Suarez having two efforts on target that he put past Hart. Rooney had a similar number of chances and didn't even really test Uruguay's 'keeper. Suarez's accuracy is awesome.
Let's not forget his two corners which almost caught Hart and the England defence out. One of which was technically a shot on target as Hart saved on the line. Think the other got a slight touch from Welbeck, but the intent was clear from Luis.

I haven't said that, if you're talking to me. And Uruguay didn't totally shut down our front line. We had chances. Nor did they dominate the centre of the park. All stats indicate England came out on top, likely because Uruguay had something to defend. My honest opinion is that it was an even game and could have gone either way. They say Suarez was the difference because he scored two of his chances whilst we scored one.
My problem with it all is that it should never have been an even game. We have the talent to beat them.
It wasn't aimed at you. but I am surprised by your assessment of the game. Besides the goal and 2 Rooney chances. I'm struggling to think of any other chances created by England. Uruguay closed down very quickly and forced England into largely shots outside the area or hopeful crosses.
The midfield for me controlled Gerrard and Henderson pretty well and nullified any threat pretty effectively.

1/2 Spoke to two elite managers today about England. They both agreed the team needed balance (a defensive centre mid, a passing one)...

... 2/2 There were too many forwards, obvious from minute 1. But England fans wouldnt have wanted any other way. So, who is responsible?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
It was obvious from the start, can't believe people blaming Gerrard for it.
Defenders do their job it's clears easily
I would argue both CB and Gerrard are culpable.......CB should always be aware of assuming the ball is going to come through, and to be conscious of the forward.....Gerrard, if going for the ball, needs to be able to get good forward purchase on it, because he is completely unaware of the situation behind him.
Gerrard had to challenge for the ball otherwise the Uruguayan was going to go for the same flick on, but it was ultimately costly due to the sloppiness at the back.
