I think it's far from being an Arsenal formality. We'd be stupid not to force out an agreement with Barcelona and Sanchez as we have the upperhand, not Arsenal, no matter how the London press try to portray this.

IF they are willing to pay the clause in full, we don't have any leverage. Fingers crossed though.

The pull of London will be a factor in this along with whatever Wenger has sold into him, whilst we can mock Arsenal for being also-rans but they're in the top 4 year in year out whereas we haven't and I guess it could be viewed as a risk we might be a 1 season wonder and fall out of the top four again.

Barca want shot of Sanchez.. he will do whatever is best for him & not for the club that want rid of him. Not a chance will he be involved in that deal if he can help it.

My dad was going on about Balague a few weeks ago after he watched sky sports and at the time was quite impressed for his ITK news. To be fair to the old man he hasn't seen much of Balague . I told him to keep watching him over the coming weeks and you will see a pattern of fence sitting that even a cat would be proud of.
