If he's not 100% sold by Rodgers' pitch of the 'project', doesn't want to become part of the 'group' and is looking for monetary gain, then perhaps we'd be better off without him. I'd love him in our side, but with the loss of Suarez's intensity and desire, we need to replicate that in as many players as possible.

I think so too. Some of the speculation are saying it's Sanchez and Shaqiri/Markovic. So if we miss out on Sanchez we might go back for Shaqiri or another similar player.

I'm not convinced Sanchez is as amazing as everyone is making out, though at least he has some proven quality which we do need if we are letting go of someone as good as Luis.

For the sake of argument, let's say he's an ideal signing. Sanchez doesn't support LFC or AFC. Outside of England, I'd imagine you'd look at the odds of both clubs of winning the league / Champs League & they'd be very similar. I imagine Rodgers would sell the idea of LFC well, but so to equally would Wenger.

We could argue Arsenal have done nothing for years, but we've been below them since Rafas last season until last year. And they finally won a trophy last year, and with the stadium done, are supposed to be loaded. I don't think it's an easy decision between the two. So I guess it could easily come down to wages, doesn't make him greedy.
