Judging by the reports looks like this one is done for £8m paying him 60k a week.

20 goals in 40 PL appearances and 14 in 27 last season for an average Newcastle side.

We are going to have so much pace in the forward areas.

Decent signing. I think/hope he'll be our third choice striker. Having the likes of Remy and Lambert on the bench improves massively on Aspas and Moses.

A definite bargain. Seems a bit Sturridge lite to me, not entirely convinced by his football brain but searing pace and a lovely finisher. Passes the ball into the net. Our front line is absolutely bursting with pace now - Sterling, Sturridge, Markovic, Remy.

If 60k and £8m is right then I think that's a pretty good deal. Encouraging for his attitude if he's dropped his wage demands to play for us.

So we'd have basically swapped Remy and Lambert in for free for Aspas and Borini, wage differentials being made up by the probable Aspas money. Them's strong upgrades. Shame, if we'd kept Suarez our front line would be hilariously good.

He's a very good player and if he behaves himself he'll be a brilliant squad player. A huge step up on Borini.

I think he'll play out wide or in a bit of a free role for us. Say if we have our 4 mids in a diamond, Sturridge upfront, then him wandering around on either wing, dropping in between the lines or standing upfront with Studge when he cant be arsed.

For £8million it's a no brainer for me. He's a great finisher, not much else to his game but sometimes you just need someone to tuck a chance away.
