Cool. Now we need to agree the wages without Arsenal stepping back in.

I don't know why, but I am quite excited by this signing. A bit of coaching from Rodgers and he could fit seamlessly in when Sturridge is injured or as part of a quick, strong front 3 with him. Great buy if it goes through.

Has to be one of the best value for money deals we've ever been involved in. A PL proven player with International experience, in his prime age wise for under £10m. Delighted.

          He's nearly 28 though.
          Are we winning?

Which is when players are supposed to be in their prime. And he's not near 28, he's 28 in January, he's a few weeks younger than Suarez.

I'm happy with this, I know many on here aren't but he's a good addition to the squad. Can play upfront and out wide and brings some decent quality and depth to the table.

Probably already been said but if you'd have said "we'll swap Borini for Remy AND 5/6m" I'd have thought it was a joke.

A huge upgrade on Borini plus a bit of cash to spend.

Looks like a great bit of business. Brendan is building a tasty looking squad.
Our bench was woeful last season!

Great business if this is a replacement for Borini however given that Borini is starting today I wouldn't say this is as cut and dried as it seems

Think he will be decent for us, will certainly get goals.

                            Reds agree £8m Remy fee

Liverpool FC have agreed a fee with Queens Park Rangers for striker Loic Remy, the ECHO understands.

It is believed the two clubs have settled on a figure of about £8m.

The France international has emerged as the club's number one striking target and is seen as better value than Swansea's Wilfried Bony, who is valued at £19m.

Brendan Rodgers has been eager to bolster his strikeforce after losing Luis Suarez to Barcelona.

Remy, 27, has played in the Premier League since signing for QPR from Marseille in 2013.

After the Londoners were relegated, he was loaned to Newcastle United for the 2013-14 season, where he scored 14 goals in 26 matches.

Well happy with that, but I do think it means we won't be looking at spending a small fortune on another attacking player
