Every bar i walked past had loads of people watching the football last night.
I glanced in to see athletico 1-0 up and gave a silent fist pump.
As i walked further i could hear the cheers and it seems that all the viewers were chearing for athleti, so glad everyone hates real madrid, and seeing ramos whinging and bitching but getting splatted and snotted by costa was the icing on the cake.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Interesting to see the reaction of the players, seems they’re not overly keen on playing in the States and initially don’t seem against striking to stop it happening (we’ll see when it comes down to it!).
PL will be watching this like a hawk as if they can somehow make it work/happen in La Liga you know we’ll not be too far behind with the States/Asia; you can imagine they’d love to get cities bidding for games a la F1.

I was pondering this (among other things) during a bout of insomnia last night.Originally posted by RichC View PostInteresting to see the reaction of the players, seems they’re not overly keen on playing in the States and initially don’t seem against striking to stop it happening (we’ll see when it comes down to it!).

If the English game is still desperate to milk its exposure overseas, they could do a lot worse than play the FA Cup quarter finals abroad. It's high profile enough and only four games. The subsequent rounds are played on neutral grounds (unless you're Spurs) anyway and the competition is already a pastiche of what it was. And the integrity of all competitions would remain intact.
I'd even go as far as to support the idea. Seems almost obvious really.Oh I don't know.

You are right. Both Home based cups, from the QFs on could easily be played overseas.Modifying post.
