He was no worse than the others. Won some freekicks. Played a couple of quick balls. I can't for the life of me understand why lallana refused to hit first time crosses when sturridge and balotelli were in the box. Waste of time having another forward on if we persist in having 5 touches before getting anywhere.

I don't see the problem when Mario smashes one high and wide. One shot per game. Wow. The majority of attacking moves break down in one way or another. This just gets it out of the way much quicker. If he was trying it every time he gets the ball then fair enough.

Get's far too much stick IMO. Okay, he's not everybody's cup of tea, but while he's here lets get behind him. He's clearly talented, he made a decent cameo yesterday and made a few things happen.

While I agree that we should get behind him, when you consider the amount of stick club legends like Gerrard and Carra or young kids like Raheem have received, I’d say he gets an unusual amount of support for somebody who has did nothing for the club. He also seems to get at excellent reception at matches, much better than other more established players.
