Thanjk you.

He wasn't being anywhere near offensive. I can see why it might not go down well with certain people, and that's fair enough. It was a gentle ribbing. Should that have stopped him? Certainly not, in my opinion.
It was far less controversial than say Babel posting a picture of Howard Webb in a manc kit, for example, for which he was punished.
It seems to me that you are defending the indefensible because these things are "bound to" happen.
So the only way for them not to happen, is for the victim to not go on Twitter in the first place? OK...
The irony of the most overrated (in his own mind) footballer around making such a comment is rather hard to overstate.
Having said that, if you'd asked me 6 weeks ago I would have agreed with him completely. Now Mario is a Liverpool player it's only right to give him real time to demonstrate if he can be the real deal, but honestly I'm as unconvinced up to now as I was before he signed.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?
