I think we went for Origi in the end over Lacazette but I agree. Balotelli was supposed to be the established striker but Defoe would have been better.Originally posted by cream View PostWhy the hell didn't we go for Lacazette, right down our street. The Balotelli signing is was just madness, made no sense whatsoever.Vive la France

Rodgers said in his post match interview that he dealt with a similar issue internally last year too, so perhaps he did bollock Sakho and Coutinho and will be consistent with Balotelli.Originally posted by Alex View Post
And as pretty as Louise is, why would I want to listen to her ****e music?

In your repeated attempts to emphasise it's not a big deal, you're actually making more of a fuss out of it that anyone else on here.Originally posted by Alex View Post
I don't think anyone's that arsed about the shirt swap. It was a bit ill conceived, but that's all. I'm far more arsed about how ****e he is to be honest.

Mentioned it once when it happened, and then just now. Hardly repeated attempts.Originally posted by Pablo View PostIn your repeated attempts to emphasise it's not a big deal, you're actually making more of a fuss out of it that anyone else on here.

From what I have read plenty were fussed about, pointing out that he didnt care. My point was that it doesnt matter, its the **** he does on the pitch.*Except Michael, who died.

I couldn't give a **** about the shirt swapping thing. We have way bigger things to worry about and you'd hope Rodgers thinks the same. Who's arsed. We'd rather he didn't do it but it goes on in tunnels (i.e. away from cameras) all over the place. Who gives a ****. He's been crap and doesn't suit us but he's not half being hung out to dry and scapegoated. He is just one of a shed load of problems. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

There's maybe an element of the old escaped goat in there, but I genuinely think he deserves most of it! He brings the whole attack down. It all falls down at his feet. Literally. I don't think I'm exaggerating with that either, it's blatantly obvious.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI couldn't give a **** about the shirt swapping thing. I think removing him from the team is one of the quickest wins for us. A nice easy fix.
The whole defensive issue is so much more complicated unfortunately, there's a whole tribe of escaped goats to worry about there

And a Genius banner!Originally posted by G View PostHow he has a song and Sturridge doesn't is beyond me.
Tbh, it just go's to show the superficiality of footy fans, Balotelli is considered to be a bigger name player than Sturridge, so he gets a banner and a song without having shown a thing in a Red shirt.

Carragher: Balo off next season
Curiously, I suspect I could dig up some quotes from Redknapp a couple months back singing his praises, albeit relatively conditionally without the vigour of the above.
Originally posted by Pablo View PostI'm done with him but I still understand the reasons we went for him. He was a gamble potentially worth taking at that price. Risk/reward.
I think the big fail was not realising his playing style was a mismatch for us. Our scouts should have raised that as a red flag and we should have realised this would likely backfire.
