I couldn't give a **** about the shirt swapping thing. We have way bigger things to worry about and you'd hope Rodgers thinks the same. Who's arsed. We'd rather he didn't do it but it goes on in tunnels (i.e. away from cameras) all over the place. Who gives a ****. He's been crap and doesn't suit us but he's not half being hung out to dry and scapegoated. He is just one of a shed load of problems.

I think he would be more aggrieved he didn't play that ball to Sterling early in the game and dwindled on it and lost possession. I can see something like that really irking Rodgers and imo would be the the main focus of any lecture rather than the shirt swap.

FWIW, I don't get people having a go at our scouting. If anyone has watched Balotelli over the years, this is exactly what he's been like. He's an enigma who'll have 1 good game in 5. What he was, was a gamble, a calculated one as we needed a world class replacement for Suarez and he was the only player who had that potential available.

There's maybe an element of the old escaped goat in there, but I genuinely think he deserves most of it! He brings the whole attack down. It all falls down at his feet. Literally. I don't think I'm exaggerating with that either, it's blatantly obvious.

I think removing him from the team is one of the quickest wins for us. A nice easy fix.

The whole defensive issue is so much more complicated unfortunately, there's a whole tribe of escaped goats to worry about there

- we looked **** at the start of the season with Sturridge up top, we looked **** with Lambert playing and we look **** with Balo playing. We've looked **** pretty much whenever we've played just the one striker since BR arrived in 2012 even when it was Suarez up top. We've only really looked good under BR with two strikers even if one is operating wider.

The goalkeeping/defence though is beyond reproach and clearly now becoming a coaching issue. One clean sheet since March is unacceptable. The amount of mistakes are unacceptable and the lack of accountability is unacceptable. To concede a goal like the 3rd last night might be understandable vs West Ham, to concede something like that vs Real Madrid is ****ing atrocious. Just sick and tired of conceding goals EVERY....SINGLE....GAME. It's just not fun, its just not professional and its just bad football.

You expect to concede top draw goals from the likes of Real Madrid, not a piece of **** set piece goal like that one. Not like it was some superb delivery from Kroos, it was just a 'scabby' goal to concede vs the defending European Champions. When you play the likes of West Ham and Stoke in past years, they didn't have the quality to break down teams but instead focussed on set pieces and unsettling the team. I doubt Ancelotti and company spend hours and hours working on corner routines to break down teams
