Everyone needs a stooge or fall guy to deflect attention, and Mario has been used many times this season despite hardly ever playing. He's not done the business for sure, but our problems are deeper routed than purely with him. And the few times when he has shown promise he has been dropped soon after.
He didn't want Mario, he said as much when he was linked to us weeks before we signed him. He was a desperation signing after the Remy deal fell through and as the only other alternative the committee came up with was Eto'o, he was worth rolling the dice for.

Had Balotelli suddenly hit it off here, and he started well v Spurs, he'd have been a bargain. I think the season fell apart when Sturridge got injured and we expected Mario to lead the line alone.
    Forwards.......

Where are we drawing the line at wastage?

If they buy their kid a PlayStation as a birthday present is that wastage and abuse?

What if they buy chocolate and lollies?

Can they buy prime steak or must they stick with chuck?

The whole things bollocks. They're given an absolute pittance, if they manage to scrimp and save for a few luxuries that's a remarkable effort, good on 'em.

And none of anyone else's bloody business.

It is if they then can't afford to buy food or pay their rent....

          As per above

There is a reason why there are different cuts of meat. It is because there are different budgets. So just because someone can buy "Taste the Difference" 28-day dry aged fillet steak, doesn't mean everyone can......

I fully agree with this statement........just not the sentiment!!!

A lot of people feel that the fact that they are given money isn't a problem per se, but the whole system isn't structured to enable people to better themselves and move on - that there needs to be a systematic review of the whole structure of benefits and the main reform being that there needs to be an incentive to get off benefits and into work. There are a lot of people who will never work - not because they are lazy - but because they are not stupid. Why would someone give up the "security" of benefits to get a job??? A job that pays maybe something stupid like £8 pw extra but if they lose that job, then they won't be back on the same level of benefits.....

A lot of people who pay a lot of taxes would be frustrated with that attitude.....because they are paying for these people!!!

          Sorry to hijack the thread.......

By the way, Mario is a dope......sell the cunt.

Me and the wife have both been in our current jobs for over 10 years. Plus other jobs before. We pay for this as much as anyone.

But the idea that they're living the high life on benefits is crap. The ones that are are working themselves onto a hole with payday loans and credit cards hoping to eventually get out of it. Now that is a system that needs to be stopped, it just preys on people.

Its not coming from the benefit system its coming from their future which the pressure of a consumer society is slowly destroying.

But the ones who genuinely manage to save for the odd luxury, good on 'em. I'm happy for my tax dollars to occasionally make them feel like human beings rather than animals living hand to mouth.

Maybe for some it will be enough to stop them turning to debt. If so its worth it.

The pressure of a consumer society??? If people are faltering and blaming the pressure of a consumer society then it is proof that they can't look after their own affairs......

The fat **** last week on tv received 275 quid a week for being 30 stone so unable to work. She changed her GP because he said she was fit to work so her money dropped to jobseekers allowance.

Was she on a diet, was she working out at the Gym, was trying to lose weight??

No, feeding her fat face even more and concentrating on finding another gullible GP that would write her sick.

****ing parasite, anybody that is happy to see their tax being spent this way is mad as a fish.

Anyone who judges systems based on isolated incidents is mad as a fish and reads too much daily mail.

I never read the Mail or pass judgement of a system based on isolated incidents, I have already said there are many deserving but also many who do not.
