Mr Michael - last night on tv they showed a 21 year old girl weighing 30 stone and too fat to work. Her doctor said she wasn't sick, just fat so stopped he pittance of 275 quid a week and it dropped to job seekers of 55 quid a week. The fat ****er spent the whole programme eating and complaining about her doctor and how she now has to convince another mug GP to fund her idleness.

I have a cousin in Liverpool who is mid-30s in age but can't work because authority and routine (getting up on time everyday) ****ing stresses him out and makes him ill!!!
He plays snooker every day to pass his time , the poor *******, he only gets 275 pounds per WEEK.

I'm sure there are people who are genuine and can not work but there are a lot of scrounging lazy ****ers bluffing their beer and fag money every week.
Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

Not that this is the place for this discussion, whether some people abuse the system, as any system, is not the point (and I could provide innumerable counterexamples), the lazy demonization of the jobless, poor, sick and socially excluded by the political class as "lazy scroungers" is.

Far far far more people on benefits are struggling to keep food on their families tables & roofs over their heads while battling an apparatus that regularly humiliates them than are playing the system without genuine need. Hell millions of people who receive benefits are actually in work. The blanket equivolation of benefits with lazy / workshy fed to us in the UK by the Daily Mail and politicians who are supposed to represent all people in the country no matter their social and economic status, is nothing short of a national disgrace imo.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
          Mine angry and defrauded young?

Totally agree. The population is fed extremes in order to horrify and justify draconian measure by that utter cunt IDS. After all, showing someone on benefits who preps meticulously for interviews, takes jobs which make hard earned qualifications null and void or is generally positive about assistance given by some agencies just isn't good TV.

And the Mail can **** off too.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Don't let your valid opinion of the Mail/IDS cloud the fact that not all on the sick deserve it, because many don't.

I don't think Mr M said they did. Just that those abusing the system are hugely outnumbered by those for who justly use the system out of necessity. The idea that there is a perfect system that will not be exploited by anyone is a clear fantasy. The question is to what level does the abuse take place and does that abuse outweigh the genuine benefits of a system that helps the vulnerable and needy. Arguing by anecdote will always make any welfare system look bad. It's just not a very useful thing to do.

Being hugely outnumbered is not a reason for failing to address the issue. Whilst I have no issues with those that genuinely need help, I have major issues with those that don't. I would rather spend money on tighter controls and enforcing the rules than ignoring and wasting the money on cigarettes, booze and playstations bought by the abusers. By investing more on detection and enforcement should eventually see more available for those that need it, rather than those who get it because of how the system works. There will always be some cheaters, it is unavoidable.

I'm sure UKIP will have the answer, they claim to have to answer to everything else.

Fewer cheaters than those not paying tax though (or should I say there is more money disappearing from non payment of tax than in benefit fraud).
