Not really, he has had one foot out of the door. He got as much as he possibly could out of Dortmund & this season has been too far of a reach. He's a great manager. Wolfsburg are a very good side too.Last edited by danperkins; 30-05-15, 08:49 PM.

But they spent much of the season fighting relegation. Last year they finished second. This season they finished 7th and lost in a semi final. Last season we finished 2nd. This season we finished 6th and lost in a cup final. I'm not saying I would be disappointed if Klopp replaced Rodgers but I do have my concerns. He hasn't been able to adapt.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostThere's no shame in losing to Wolfsburg after the season they (Wolfsburg) have had. It's not as though they're losing to a bunch of minnows.

They managed to salvage something from their season following the winter break, so getting the Europa League is a good achievement given how shocking their season has been on the most part.
They've also had a ridiculous amount of injuries to cope with, and they lost their star man (again), and their replacements maybe haven't stepped up to the plate as well as expected (sound familiar?).
I would be slightly concerned with the counter-attacking style of play when it doesn't work, as it has often meant defensive calamities, but I think with our squad, he'd have players who would hang on his every word as though it was gospel, and they'd have nowhere to hide if they messed up.

Klopp is a talented manager. I like his style which is based on high intensity, pressing, directness and movement. It worked wonders in Germany. I think we have the players to make those elements work here. My concerns is Dortmund suffered a lot of injuries and many people in Germany said it was down to the way he prepares his team. Klopp likes his his team to out run his opponents and that's why stats have often shown his side covering more ground than any other team throughout europe. It can be physically demanding and it's why his team picked up a lot of injuries. With no winter break here I can see fatigue kicking in the second half of the season. I also feel he struggled to adapt when teams sussed his tactics. Personally, I'm not sure I'd expect to get top four in his first season as it'll take time for his methods to work here.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostThey managed to salvage something from their season following the winter break, so getting the Europa League is a good achievement given how shocking their season has been on the most part.

the least he can do is set up a team with some sort of defensive shape. Its been the same all season. You can kid yourselves but this guy is not the fix to our problems.
