I think the local press has gotten a whiff of almost every target under Rodgers' tenure.

I think this transfer will be wrapped up this week with news about kondogbia going to Inter.

They have money with a fresh investor, but they are spending a fair bit, Miranda, Kon, Imbula, a striker (not sure who yet), plus Motta and couple of others linked. They may fancy clawing some back and Kovacic may be the obvious way - he is not a core player and can fetch a hefty sum.
