And it starts with a 1-1 away draw in Bourdeaux for us.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

It's good competition with a great chance of getting a back door into the champions league. We should be taking this very seriously IMO. So far Rodgers history in Europe is an embarrassment.

We don't have a big enough squad with enough quality to take it and the league seriously and a league campaign will always be the more likely way into the champion's league then relying on a bit of luck to win a cup. United are ****, Chelsea are having a mare and nobody is taking the chance to punish them. If we can get our act together that's far more likely than winning this thing.

United clearly aren't ****, their boring as **** but their are solid and functional. Chelsea will inevitably click into gear & Arsenal & Chelsea are looking very strong. Also the fringe teams will certainly take points off the top sides a bit more regularly as the standard has risen.

The standard in the Europa League is much lower than the teams that will challenge for "top 4" in the premier league. The Europa League now has a great incentive to win, backdoor into the Champs League. It's great to have another option. I would much rather play weakened teams in the League & FA Cup and go strong in the Europa. The gains to win the Europa are far greater than the League & FA Cup combined. Sevilla have reaps the rewards of taking the competitions seriously.

To get top 4 or win the Europa we need to click and if we click there's no reason we can't get it through the league. The Europa is a lottery even if your the best team in it which we aren't. We can go as strong as we like in the Europa we still won't win it if we keep playing ****e so that's the main thing that has to change, not the players that get picked for it. Not too many of our "best" 11 have done much better than those lads did on Thursday.

            And United are ****.

I suppose we don't know how the team will play in future games, we can only hope that we click. But IMO the Europa League should be a priority over the league & fa cup.

                Bump.

Spurs getting a point in the tax haven.

Crowd appeared to number about 25.

Poor sending off decision in the Lazio, St Ettiene game.

Important match against Kazan at home & Klopp's first home game. I hope the boys do us proud.

Shakhtar Donetsk, Manchester United, Galatasary, and Sevilla dropped out from the Champions League into the Europa League last night.

We are currently 3rd favorite in the betting for it. But similar odds to Utd and Spurs to win it.

Napoli and Dortmund also around the same. Basically 6 teams on 10/1 or so.

Money to be made if you can pick a winner, its very open.

Decent bunch of teams in it going into the late rounds

I'd actually prefer Arsenal and Chelsea to join us. The Europa will be more exciting than the CL this season!
