People should expect it to significantly reduce the number of refereeing errors in games, and it doesn't. And it's all about how it's being used. They've been assessing for at least two years and have implemented a failing system, there's no excuse.

What annoys me is that Chelsea get donated one which didn't effect play nor could Wass do anything about it. Then there's an incident that isn't even a foul, maybe a ref blows that up once or twice out of 10 and there's no reversal. Makes no sense.

The guy was diving before he even got near robbo as he saw robbo raise his leg and he though 'im having this' but then robbo put his foot down while the lad was in mid air, so the diver then moved his leg to the right to ensure there was some contact.
Robbos foot was on the deck when the diver banged into robbs leg, yet these pricks still cannot get it right.

Because it would take ages. And there is no need. Just let the VAR intervene whenever he wants and make his ruling final. It should take seconds.

It should be like rugby where you can hear the rationale too. That'd make it interesting for the viewer, could even let the poor cunts in the stadium hear it too via headsets or even an App / FM frequency - plus it would weed out the ****tard officials

Surely a better use, would be to ask the ref for a second look on a screen? I half agree its not fair for some cunt in a studio to overrule but why cant the actual real ref get a second look? He might still get it wrong but at least theres the opportunity for him to hold his hands up.

Probably some crap about undermining the ref stops him from asking for a 2nd opinion. The 'clear error' phrase was invented by a think tank to exonerate refs

What's the point in reviewing it if everyone can see that it's not a penalty but the decision is not being overturned because it's not 'clear' or 'obvious' enough.

Everyone can see that it's not a penalty and it you look at that footage posted in the match thread no one would give it.

It's the ref being reviewed not the actual event. It's about protecting refs

That was stupid, yes. That relates to the ****ness of the current handball rules.

It wasn't a clear referee's error. That's what it boiled down to. I can see why they've given it.

Agreed, if the ref hadn't given it, then VAR wouldn't have overruled him. Like in cricket, this one came down to "Umpire's (Referee's) Call".

And the umpire who's decision counts is the one without replay, slow motion, zoom, and multiple angles. It's completely illogical.
