Generally, yes, although I'm sure I recall a couple of dubious VAR decisions where it was said that the ref didn't have angles that the TV company had. Maybe they were cases when the technology played a part.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostIt’s not the tech ever is it?

The thing is we’ve always had **** decisions. All of the ones today could have happened last year, and we’d have been talking about **** refereeing and the need for VAR.
VAR should remove the howler (such as the red card today) and it would have if the infield decision was made in association with the off-field. And the infield ref was told to check it out. The way they are doing it leaves one party completely in the dark. It’s about getting the right decision and giving authority to the ref to make that, with assistance is crucial.
I can’t say enough that they have this sorted in Rugby - clear comms between infield and on. And the VAR ref is in situ. If the money exists in Rugby then it definitely exists in football.
Also have some ex refs run VAR. This faceless ‘stockley park’ bollocks gets on my nerves. It’s not cracking the enigma code, it’s assisting refereeing.
Also. Make the ****ing refs check on the monitor. The VAR should say ask tell ref to check and if they don’t they should be dropped for a few weeks.
Honestly, I’d have the whole **** show singing within a few weeks.Modifying post.

So, been out all day but caught the remainder of the Leicester game on the radio. Am I right that the official in Stockley Park was the same for the Spurs and Leicester games? Sounds like the guy needs to be told that this isn't the job for him. No doubt he'll get a couple of million as it's football

I’ll bet they shopped around for a prestigious sounding address. It’s just some business park isn’t it?
