Kovačič on Odegaard, from behind, doesn’t get the ball and hits his standing leg. VAR check complete. Ref not even sent to the monitor. Much worse than Jones last week.

The lack of consistency is farcical.

Again using the excuse VAR can only make a call on it if they thought it was a straight red. Pathetic and clearly shows they don’t give a flying **** about making the right decision.

compare Jotas two yellows to Kovacic two challenges. Not even in the same ball park and yet Kovacic plays on

Comparing his first “challenge” with Jones’ one:
                1) kovacic led with his studs up- Jones led with his toe, and studs only showed when his foot rolled over the ball.
                2) kovacic went in from behind the player, where there was no chance of winning the ball.
                3) jones touched the ball, kovacic was nowhere near it

Can’t believe people saying it’s an orange card or whatever- was as clear a red as you’ll see. He was lucky that odegards leg wasn’t planted or it coulda been a leg breaker.

Comparing the second challenge with Jotas second yellow, Jota didn’t touch the player, kovacic planted his studs on the ankle. Absolute joke

It’s just a toss of a coin now. Denying a goal scoring opportunity, studs on the leg… heads red card and tails nothing. Ball hits defenders arm, get the coin out. Wildly different decisions every match. Decisions that affect results. Getting to the point where we may as well skip the actual games and have football manager simulate them.

And it’s by some inconceivable fluke that we get the coin with two heads most games

Michael Oliver wasn’t asked by VAR to go to the monitor to review this.

                        Why not?

the inconsistency is unbelievable. I can live with whatever rules/standards they want, but it’s so frustrating when you see things being punished one week and not the next.

Its that simulating yellow cards thing that does my head in. We got ****ed by it opening game.

We got hit with it multiple times and the "time wasting" rule too. Feels like we've had more cards this season already than in the last 5 seasons combined

Honestly don't understand why someone from the club isn't making a bigger deal out of this.

Send some club official like Gordon to the press conference with a powerpoint presentation showing all the inconsistencies and how we are ALWAYS on the the wrong side of the decision and ask the journalists there to make of it what they will.

Klopp and players should start refusing interviews and press conferences as well in protest.
