Some absolute shockers yesterday. Bad enough for fans to boycott going to games. It's just swept under the carpet. The var official drew the wrong line in the Brighton v Palace game ffs. This is beyond a joke. Bin it totally.
Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde
The Brentford goal being allowed to stand was incompetence on a biblical scale. Could see that by eye on a replay without slow mo, pausing, or drawing lines.
Problem is that offside has become so ridiculous on terms of what is and what isnt, a linesman on his own has no chance. The rules nwed to be conpletely reworked (simplified) first before we can scrap var.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.
Are other countries suffering as bad on VAR or is it the establishment of 'mates' ****ing it up in England only; would be interested to know how much is down to the ineptuitude of these dinasuars & how much is the interpretation of rules.
Did Prem league sway from the guidelines set out for VAR, have they caused there own problems by doing so?

I genuinely believe that some VAR officials are being paid by City when decisions are made that affect them positively.

It seems to really only be in England that they're having these "issues"

"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey
That's the way it should have been done since it's inception.
As stated many times the model to copy was the one which Rugby implements.
Football seems to been trying to re-invent the wheel only to end up with the Rugby model.
Out of interest what does the ref say to the player at the very end of the clip. The defender thanks the ref 'merci beaucoup' and the ref seems none to pleased judging by the players reaction to what the ref says to him
"We are not allowed to do it live at the moment, in-game, the international board at FIFA don't allow that. Maybe that will change.
That is what Webb said last year. Wonder if he was bull****ting or indeed if the rules have changed. If it's the latter, you'd think there'd be a bit more chatter about it.
Balls in your court Howie...
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

as if he wants that; the rule chages on cards, time wasting etc will show his refs up as having an agenda; just wait untill taylor performs sunday to see....

He came out on Talksport after MNF and said he wants it, so time to call his bluff.
Tompkins did a piece recently on referee bias (to be generous) and how we get destroyed in every metric, particularly by North West refs, particularly Tierney. Despite the overwhelming evidence, no chance PGMOL, FA or PL would take any action. This is perhaps our best chance for some genuine reform.
