I actually saw someone saying that the referees body had claimed prior to VAR that they were getting 96% of decisions correct, but since VAR that number had changed and become much lower, no idea if that is true or not.

Also on the numbers you posted I assume that is on decisions that VAR can intervene on? If they are accurate that is a definite improvement reducing incorrect decisions by a fact or 4 (from 17% down to 4%) I would say that a few percent of incorrect decisions is acceptable if those are the decisions that are borderline ones, but I don't feel that is the case when you see for example the Doku challenge on MacAllister and a few others it is still getting decisions wrong that there should be no uncertainty in, and that is the bigger issue.

lots of spin in the medial, particularly Sky - who should be nowhere near it. Clearly Webb's bull**** appearances on Monday nights are generating viewing figures to sell advertising and poor VAR feeds the punditry scope for comment too.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

I'd be happy if they just put their flag up immediately rather than wait 30 seconds for someone to get injured.

Also, put a linesperson on each quadrant, the game is so fast now that **** will get missed which I suspect is why VAR was introduced in the first place.

injuries aside, a team gets momentum as they create big chances… the crowd gets behind them, the opposition fans/defenders get anxious, etc etc… shooting practice and that feeling of knocking at the door.

It almost doesn’t matter if these big chances wouldn’t have counted anyway, because of a late flag.

I’m happy for them to leave it down in cases where they’d nearly be guessing anyway- but I feel like 9 times out of 10 when they raise the flag, after the chance has gone- and then when I see the replay afterwards it’s very much clearly offside
          I don't tip

4 decisions against us & none for us sounds fair

They missed out the pen we should have got against Man City for the Doku challenge on Alexis - that would take us to 5 VAR errors (net) that went against us (67% more than anyone else)

I believe they were the ones that PGMOL admitted they got wrong

I find when I bring up the VAR discrepancies and how we've got royally ****ed over, people just laugh now as they can't explain it ... so they just mock us. The galling thing is that it was City & Arsenal who finished above us and got away with stone wall stuff vs us. We should be champions but sure here we are.

Hopefully there has been some discussion about how it could be improved

A fiver if you can point out the difference between the new directive and 'clear and obvious error'

The "referee’s call" means that the VAR should only intervene if they can "see without any doubt the on-pitch official has made a clear mistake".
