City will sell 60,000 programmes per game this season to bolster their revenues

They didn't spend last season did they? They sold Ronaldo and replaced him with Mariano and that was it?

Very interesting summer ahead for them, but in Jovic and Mendy they are getting younger players at least.

I guess they sold Ronaldo for a big wedge. But they did spend last season too. A total of €163.25M according to Wikipedia.

Even with selling Ronaldo for €100m, they still spent a fair bit.
        *Except Michael, who died.

Nearly £200m right there. And supposed to be going for Eriksen too.
Mendy is a LB but is on his second medical....potential hip issues. They also bought a Brazilian kid called Rodrygo for around £35m and the Porto RB/CB Militao from Brazil for £45m.

They need cash so Bale is high on their list to sell.

They've not spent that much over the last few seasons. Think the summer they bought Bale was the last of the massive splurges. They've also made a fair amount in the transfer market in those years.

Courtois and Vinicious of course and Odriozola. But that's still a fairly low net spend for them I think.

The year before that they spend only 40 million euros on Ceballos and Theo Hernandez and sold players for three times that.

16/17 they bought Morata for 30 million euros.

So for the last three of four years at least, they've been fairly thrifty, they surely can't be in any FFP trouble.

It does if its classified as state aid, (I'm sure also breaks EU rules) I think it has to be on commercial terms also. Could be wrong.
