And where was VAR to correct the mistake? Nowhere. Instead it's left to some PR knob at the Premier League to try and justify another refereeing error.

For those that didn’t watch the game, Son firstly gets accidentally elbowed in the face by Gomes. Roll on a minute later and it’s quite clear that Son wants to get in a retaliatory challenge in and goes for Gomes like a man possessed. As soon as the challenge is made you can see you can see the regret and this evertaully turns into shock with the realisation of the gravity of the injury and the overwhelming sense of guilt.
Bottom line, if you’re running at full pace and you get taken out at full force without an attempt to get the ball , it’s really ****ing dangerous. Your body’s not prepared to deal with the impact. It’s a red and so was Choudry’s’ on Salah.

I read this morning that the ref was going to give a yellow (as you can see from TV coverage) but VAR changed the decision. No idea if that is true but it is what the Metro are reporting.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostAnd where was VAR to correct the mistake? Nowhere. I didn't watch the match and only saw the highlights on MOTD2, but this was the first mention I saw of it. MOTD2 didn't mention it being reviewed by VAR in their criticism of the ref. So I'm not sure if the metro got it right or not.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI guess it's possible, but it didn't look like that at the time. It looked like the ref shat his pants like everyone else. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We will see the ref go and look at the monitor 100%.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostSurprising. I think the PL are in crisis mode after the recent criticism of decisions from all quarters. They'll be giving guidelines to the officials for our game, no doubt. Wonder what impact it will have on the game.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
