There seems to be a bit of an obsession with them that we get away with fouls and yellow cards (I guess they are running out of straws considering everything else is going against us).

I'm fairly certain that Fernandinho will have got away with more fouls and lack of bookings in single games than our whole team put together.

IMO, modern referees are increasingly becoming performers in a show run by two teams. A bit like when the Harlem Globetrotters used to have their own refs who'd let Meadowlark Lemon hide the ball up his vest.

The only thing that keeps me going is the, possibly fanciful, notion that we are an honourable club that won't go along with it. And that's reflected in the hostility against us. The day they begin to allow us into a super league or even to score a late winner in an important game is the day I'll lose faith.
