It's not often to see a player play once and come to the conclusion that they aren't good enough, but that was how I felt watching Saul when he played against Aston Villa, and he hasn't improved a single bit in 3 months.

He is totally out of his depth and you can see why Atletico Madrid don't want to play him in their midfield. He wouldn't just struggle with Premier League football, but he would struggle at any level in England because he can't adapt to the intensity.

Chelsea fan on Saul, hauled off at halftime in both his first and second premierleague start. #recordbreaker

Herr Shippmann talking his team up post match is just more kopite propaganda - they were better than us but not that great, and a better side than our could and would have hurt them.

My 11 year old sat and endured the whole debacle and was in tears at the end. I keep telling him to stick with it and one day we’ll come good again. That line is wearing a bit thin now and I’m not sure I even believe it myself anymore.

One of his mates (mum a blue, dad a typical red) used to support us but defected to them a couple of years ago, so what you’ve said here is definitely a thing. Following Everton certainly isn’t fun and hasn’t been for a few years now so, other than blind family loyalties, where are the next generation of blues going to come from?

If Bill was an Everton supporter he would never have sold out to two(and it is two) such clueless pricks.

I told him no matter what, it's better than being a kopite gob****e and tried to cheer him up with the promise of our day will come, but not sure he bought it (probably because I don't believe it myself).

My 7yo daughter also tried to cheer him up and we got him smiling again on the way out.

I just want them both to have some days in sun supporting this club of ours - I have seen us win trophies but I would take us just being competitive and challenging for things right now - not too much to ask is it??
