Nothing has changed. But even if that wasn’t a rule, as you can’t be offside if the ball is passed backwards, unless you were literally on the goal line, how could an attacker be offside when it’s taken?

Yeah from a corner the ball is always going to be played backwards so it's impossible to be offside.

The other things you can't be offside from is throw ins and goal kicks.

I said that on the match threadafyer the goal went in, but nobody else here said anything, so I thought it must be fine.

I was watching an italian game. They showed an angle that looked like the ball bent out of play from tne corner.

Okay. You can’t be offside if you’re behind the ball when it’s passed. When we’re talking about the ball on the corner spot, it’s pretty much inevitable.

They have done that on purpose it will hide the stench coming off the pitch
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If everton really was the peoples club they'd shut their doors for a year and let people relax. Such a toxic relationship they've got going.

Harry Wilson is having a great PL career. How odd they are

It's an interesting thing to obsess about, Ibe had his but made over 100 PL appearances, Wilson isn’t far off that number now too, they might not have made it playing for us but the bar is so high to make it here establishing yourself as a PL football is an achievement. I don't think anyone is assuming they will all make it with us. It's just good to see them get an opportunity and do well.

Also Clark has played in more cup finals than any Everton player for the last 15 years

Ibe was hyped up by LFC fans though - I remember people not being bothered when we sold Sterling as they said Ibe was going to be a better player.

That was the case in the reserves / u21s at the time. He was electric. And could have been a star.

Some players are like that. Awesome at underage level and a cunt hair away from being a worldie. But the final step is the largest. We have had loads and loads of players like that over the years. Ibe is definitely one. Musialowski was going to be a star about 3 or 4 years ago and only made his debut as a sub the other night (long after the tie was over..... In reality it could have been a sympathy debut and he could leave soon)

Pacheco was another player who i was sure would be brilliant for us. He might have made it in a big way had he stayed in Spain.

Le Tallac was another. But there are loads.... Jerome Sinclair, Ngoo..... The list is long.

Then these guys also have a small window too to make it..... a serious injury at the wrong time and you're ****ed..... Because you weren't in the first team, and now someone else is there to take your place being developed. Bajcetic might end up being lucky that he played so much last season because he is now in the squad. But in reality, he could be ****ed now because Jurgen is leaving. If the new manager wants another midfielder, then he could be like 8th or 9th choice and may as well end up going on loan. Had he not been injured this season, he could have ended up being our first choice #6 by now.

Elliott too..... Had he had his leg breaker 9 months previously, then who knows (although his talent is awesome)

Wayne Harrison was the one that was going to be a worldie. Most don't even know who he was

Luck plays a huge part. I read that only 2% of youngsters who sign a pro contract are still playing at 21.

Had that shot against Everton went in instead of hitting the post, had he not have got injured a few games later, had Klopp been here a few years earlier (maybe even had Rodgers not been on his way out, playing with that back 3), had any of those things been different then I think Ibe would have made it. Fine margins and luck.
