Euro 96 was the peak of my support of England and like of international football, it carried on to the WC in 98, but since then I've had no real investment in the international team even at major tournaments. I've still gone to watch the games with mates in the pub, but while some of them have been close to tears, I've never really known what to say as I haven't been on the same journey or been at all emotionally invested in it. Euro 96 will always hold special memories though
