I think it's the same thing if they lost today and if they drew. Still requires both teams to win their last game IF we win on Tuesday.Originally posted by Frog83 View PostIs it though? A West Ham win would have been better as it would be in our hands to overturn the GD. We now have to hope Villa take something from their game which I don't think they will do. Many of the fans will now be split over whether to rest players for the final or waste energy and risk injury trying to win games which may become redundant.
Personally I'd go with 2nd string for our last 2 games. If we win both great, and if Villa somehow get something against City even better.

Resting players? Not a chance now.
It's as you were before we lost a point against Spurs, providing we beat Southampton. I'd have taken this with both hands.
The quadruple is still on.
Are we winning?

Depends if we want to risk everything and end up with nothing. We're tired already with injuries also. Let's focus on what we can influence not on what another team can hopefully do for us. Villa play Thursday and we're relying them coming through that without injuries and being fresh enough to compete on the Sunday. City will have had a week to rest and prepare.Originally posted by S-RED View PostWe simply can't do that thoug, imagine if villa did do something, but we missed out resting players.
**** situation, but we cannot go weak
We should have the players to win against Southampton so let's use the squad. We no longer need to chase GD so any win will do. The CL is the priority. The league is a bonus.

Surprised at how many have given up on the title, baffling really.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Not given up, just being realistic. Give key players a rest and see how they go. Would hate to go into the game against Madrid and not be able to cope with the intensity due to exhausted players.Originally posted by Slinky Skills View Post

Winning the league is not in our hands, winning the CL is.
