I think what...think it was Yaya...said about this being the pinnacle for an African footballer, they know they won't win the World Cup, so this is their only chance of glory with their country, that puts it into perspective and why the players are so keen to play.
That was a good game, people who’ve said that the quality was dire probably didn’t watch it. Sénégal is an excellent side and I hope they’ll do well in the World Cup. The level obviously picked up once the group stages were done which is not different to what we see in European competitions.
Each to their own though. Congrats Sadio, now have a deserved week off.

Ok, then I didn't it see it was dire, so maybe you know your football better than me. Sounds to me that African football is **** the way this is being criticised / portrayed here. There's a deference to it that smacks of superiority coming from a bunch of white middle class chaps.
