In the Spurs Burnley game the Burnley keeper held the ball for too long and the ref gave spurs a corner. Hopefully they are consistent with this rule and it’s used properly.

Only problem is we’re pretty crap at set pieces

Palace goal ruled out for player too close to Chelsea wall when fk taken. When did this stupid rule come in? Chelsea have been penalised but then get preferencial treatment to mitigate their offence. Madness

Rules been there ages, to stop exactly what the Palace player did; pushing the Chelsea man out the way to make a hole in the wall to blast the ball thru. Now opposing players must be at least 1 yard from the defensive wall, which he clearly wasn't.

Shame, cos it was a nice free kick, but if the Chelsea player hadn't been shoved out the way he'd have caught that ball flush in the midrift.

No issues with that being disallowed provided there's consistency across the remainder of the season.

Chelsea don't look great here. Palace should be winning.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Feel sorry for Kelleher. He was looking forward to playing in a Thomas Frank team and a week after he signs, Frank leaves. Some no mark takes over and Brentford look rubbish, 3 down against Forest and should have been more.

All you need to do is penalise the shove. Should be no restriction on standing close to the wall which is why, not the shove, the goal was ruled out

The blatant shove was an obvious foul yes, but the first infringement is the attacker being too close to the defensive wall.

The rule came in to try and put a stop to attacking players trying to insert themselves into a defensive wall to disrupt it. Crystal Palace obviously forgot the rule.

they will have forgotten all about it by September.

Credit to the red Mancs, they respected the minutes silence very well.

Perfectly observed minutes silence for Jota and Andre Silva at Old Trafford.
