On the plus side the implementation of the semi-automated VAR for offsides is excellent.

I get the impression that the system is quicker than they are admitting and they are using that extra time to inform the linos to put the flag up. I can't recall them getting one wrong so far in the games I have watched.

No doubt PGMOL will find some unique implementation that ruins it though.

VAR has barely been a factor so far which is amazing. But agreed, PGMOL will find a way to torture us with it.

Getting to the knock outs would be a great feeling for the players I imagine and also for all those that are over there following them.

I'm actually hoping that Scotland beat Hungary by a couple of goals and Germany then beat Switzerland by three goals and Scotland get into second place in the ground as a result.

Though is more likely Germany will put out a weaker team for their third game to keep starters fresher for the knock outs.

Without the chip, then surely we’re back to relying on the same PGMOL bozos to manually determine the point which the ball is played?

In which case there’s no way it will run as smoothly or quickly in the PL as we’re seeing in the Euros.

How do you align a chip inside the ball and make sure it hasnt come loose?
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

No one will remember this, but a chip being inside the ball was an old April Fools newspaper joke in the early 90s. Same as Neil Ruddocks Adidas Predator headband that would add 20% distance to his headers.

Serious question, do all Scottish folk like the sound that comes out of a bagpipe? To most if not all the English it is like fingernails down a blackboard
